Building 17
Robert converted his U-47 to a static diver and added depth and pitch control using Subtech and Engle parts. He said that it's worked out well.

Here are a few more and a pic of the 1:12 Robbe boat I am building as well.

The boat hull red was still wet and still have the cente white strip to paint, and the top side deck, plus fittings to fit and portholes but bar that all ready as you can see the superstrurcture is all done, bar a servo mod for the rotating radar!

Well here is the photo's of the bow construction, now I've got the plane isolation
switch in place, I just have to position the magnet, once assembled on to hull for
positioning. Note the 2 white connections on the rear of the bow plane servo
casing isolate the red power to the second servo, so planes in- no power, planes
out- enabled, so no damage to my rods!
Also you can now see the completed launch assemblies with 4mm for priming
the torpedoes and 6mm for launching. It needs a remote radio switch and some
fittings and then its off to the bath!!
The bow doors will be fitted with a similar magnetic switch to power up the
firing switch's power supply to avoid any inside bow launches with the doors
closed!!
You can also see the oil cooled and water tight, sealed bow thruster to assist the
DOG in the turning department!!, The wires are to feed back to a secondary
ESC (Electronic Speed Control) on a Y-connection with the rudder servo, but
will have to run reversed. I should be able to reverse the motor feed wires to
achieve this, I Hope!!
I'll update you with the firing system once I've got it assembled and positioned,
away to modify the rotating guns. I can see the rudder maybe having 3 servos off
of 1 channel.
Cheers
Rob CHRISTISON
